Chitra was discovered first, by the popular fortnightly of Weekly Bichitra called "Anandha Bichitra" in their yearly photo beauty competition known as "Photo Sundhuri" in 1994. She was placed at number 6.

Chitra is from Dhaka. She is a student of the Arts institute of Dhaka. Her horoscope is Capricorn and she is 5'6" tall and has a very cute fine figure. According to her, she does not diet to keep her form. Since she is beautiful by nature, she does not even need do gymnastics, as she reclaims. Her aim in life is to become a fashion designer.

Rose is her favorite flower, any kind of rose, yellow is her favorite color. She likes ice cream and mango is her favorite fruit. She likes to listen to music although she does not have any particular choice of type.

Her most time spending pleasure is "remembering the past memories", favorite dress is sharee. Her favorite deshi film artist is Diti and Shanjoy dutt as foreign film star. Favorite TV artist is Tarik Anam.

She hates sports and never ever was interested in any. Does not like politics either.
