Afzal Hossain appeared in the small screen in 1970s and till
then he has gained unparalleled popularity. He became and icon for the young
generation with his stylish and romantic image. He made his debut in the silver
screen with the movie “Dui Jibon” (two lives) starring with Diti. This
multi-talented actor has contributed to other branches of art and culture. In
addition to being a graduate of Charukala Institute, he received training in
graphics design and illustration. He starred in three full length films and received
appraisal from critics. He set out his journey in ad making in 1984 and made a number
of ground breaking ads. Afzal Hossain is currently into direction, which is his
ultimate focus and directed a few drama serial and plays. He is also the author
of three novels and a collection of stories jointly with Imdadul Haq Milon.
