Afsana Mimi, one of the most notable TV actresses of the 90s, is known for her unique charm and natural acting. But it did not remain enough for her, as she became a forerunner to introduce Mega serials as a culture in Bangladesh. She was born in 20th December 1968. Her parents are Syed Fazlul Karim and Shirin Afroze. A Dhaka University Department of English graduate, Mimi got into performing arts at a very early age. She started her career as a product model but soon she established herself as a popular small screen celebrity with her memorable performance in numerous dramas. She gained country spread fame with her role of ‘Bokul” in “Kothao Keu Nei”. After a successful career as an actress, Mimi started out her journey as a producer and director. She popularized the concept of mega serial under her production house Krishnachura with serials as Kachher Manush, Sharey tin tola, Bandhan and Grihogolpo. She also directed the off-beat hit drama “Off beat” and a lifestyle show “Jibon Charcha”. Mimi is still going strongly with her refreshing enthusiasms.
