| One of the first Bangla bands,
together with Souls, and later, Feedback. Initially became popular for replaying English
songs. Popularity continued after the release of their own Bangla songs. Hamen and Shafen
(the main musicians), are sons of Feroza Begum, the Nazrul geeti singer. Miles started
their music career by releasing the first self titled album in 1982, where all the numbers
were in English. The second album called "A step further" was also in English. Miles starts practicing Bangla songs and thus releases the first
Bangla album in 1991, called "Protusruty". This was a hit. Miles becomes more
popular and it continues so far. The second Bangla Album was released in 1993. Called
"Prottasha". This was a hit and still it remains the only best selling pop album
in Bangladesh. The third Bangla album called "Prottoy" came out in in 1996.
Apart from this a CD was released from Bollywood and 2 "Best of Miles" CD was
compiled and released from India. Disco Recording, Los Angles based Bangladeshi recording
company also released this "Best of Miles" CD. This contains most of the very
popular songs. Mega hits like, 1.Chand taraa Shurjo, 2. Prothom Premer Moto, 3. Shepto
Bashona, 4. Phiriye Dao, 5. Dhiki Dhiki, 6. Koto kaal Khujbo, 7. Jadu, 8. Shey Kaan
Dorodiya, 9. Phire Elena, 10. Paharie Meye, 11. E monto ar, 12. Ghare Loiyaa Jao and 13.
Shanti Chaai. The recording quality is not very good. The cover contains details on song
