| WORLD MUSIC - This regarding the article on the 29th year of
World Music - I feel very sad to find that a person who was one of the first compeers
along with Shanaz Islam started the programme on May 1, 1972 has been ignored in the
article. It was in March 1972 that idea of broadcasting a programme like this was
conceived by Muzakkyer Bhai who was then a Programme Organiser of Bangladesh Betar. Then
Muzakkyer Bhai called up Wazir Sattar from the External Service to assist him in producing
the programme. April 1972 was a very busy month for both Muzakkyer Bhai and Wazir as they
both had to collect discs and tapes from different sources viz. Sur Taranga on Elephant
Road, different Embassies and High Commissions. There were broadcasts of the programme
every day - 14:35 to 15:00 and again from 16:30 to 17:00 hrs. Mohammad Ali Rumee (now with
Standard Chartered) along with Tamara Rahman (now Mrs.Rumee) compared the first session
and Wazir Sattar and Shahnaz Islam ran the second session. Since then Wazir had worked
most closely with World Music (all the while making improvements in the presentation of
the daily selections of songs and quizzes in Your Choice etc.), treating it like his own
child, till 1979 when his engagement in advertising (he works in Asiatic Marketing
Communications Ltd) became too demanding. Shuborna
Mustafa never participated in World Music. She was totally dedicated in doing radio dramas
right from 1973 or 1974. - WAZIR SATTAR |

FERDOUS
- I've been looking for Ferdous's biography on the net and
I can't find it. Because I live in the u.k, I don't get much info about him easily. I'd
really appreciate it if you could put something on about him i.e. a birth date or address?
Where could I look 2 find out more about him? Nusrath |

TOO MANY FEMALE
MODELS - I think there r too many of bangali
female models in this site... its not fair because I know there are platy of bangali male
models out there... and this site should equally give the bangali male models a chance too...
where ever u turn u see girls faces....... and its not like those girls a pretty or
anything...... they are all fat and chubby ... they all need to control there eating
habits and do A Lot of physical exercise ..... this site does have some male models
like Nobel and few others.... but they are old story...... they need to change it up... Ritu Ali |

| ANTI-HERO GONE? We
saw few picture under the banner of Atlas Movie Dhaka. We saw the anti-hero rolls was
played by unknown and new face. We really like his performance and his future in our
Bangladeshi movie, but after this two to three movies we didn't saw him in any other movies.
We also read in the magazines that he is not a Bangladeshi national. So requesting you to
give us his Name or details we like to write him a letter. Most probably his real name
seems Ali Shah. we are also very surprised that he worked with our good artists but his
Picture and news was not appears on the web. Rustam Bhatti |

SHIMUL - You should have some more about model
Monir khan Shimul. All you have about him is his scrap book, NO PHOTOS! YOU HAVE IT ON THE
LISTINGS OF FILM STARS! WHY? "SHIMUL IS AN TV ACTOR AND A MODEL AS WELL!" And
you also should have more and more pictures of everybody. Instead of just having the old
ones for years after year you should update these regularly. These people doesn't just
take photographs and stop at a limit. They are still taking pictures and you should try to
collect those ones. IT SEEMS LIKE PEOPLE AFTER 5 OR 10 YEARS WOULD SEE THE SAME STUFF WE
ARE SEEING NOW, NOTHING NEW. MILIA SARMIN |
