At the beginning of this year Moiuri came in Gaji Mazaharul Islam's Ulka. Her second appearance was in Mitur Mokhokhi. Moiuri had the supporting actress role in both films. She is still busy doing supporting actress roles in most of her recent films.

As a supporting actress Mou had tremendous success in 1998. Mou had 3 movies released in 1998, such as Desher Mati, Amar Desh Amar Prem and Bodla Nebo.

Kumkum - another new face started directly as the heroine of the film Ghater Majhi.

Tamanna, also a new comer was a hit by her powerful acting in Vondoo. She had a flop film too, it's called Tejjo Putro.

Purnima was discovered in A Jibon tomar amar. Her second film Madhu Purnima was a flop as the first one. Although she is a very demanding actress these days and keeping herself very busy doing new films these days.

TV actor Mahfuj started working in movies this year. His first appearance is in Premer Kasam, the film did not do very well but Mahfuf was lucky, he thus signed for 2 new films.

Mohoni came in the film Moner Moto Mon. It was a flop and nobody saw her again.

Urmi came as a supporting actress in Sinho Purosh.

Alisha also appeared as supporting actress in Goriber Bichar Nai. In Golay Golay Pirit, she was the heroine. She left the film industry soon after her marriage and flew abroad with her man. Golay Golay Pirit is due to release in mid 1999.

Sizar (Tanzid) and Atithi both came in the principle roles as hero and heroine in Sopner Raza. Tanzid is busy these days with news films while Atithi getting lost because of box office flop of Sopner Raza.

In 1998, Shabana and Diti terminated their film career and departed from the film industry. Shabana had her younger daughter lost while visiting the USA. She then promised to leave the film career to give more concentration to her family life. Diti was supposed to get married to Elias Kanchon who lost his wife in a car accident. Due to this fact, Diti decided to end her movie career.

Anju Gosh left for Calcutta, She is working in Zatra. Her last films are Mohan Bandhu, Doi Rangbaj and Nesha.

Aruna Biswash got married in 1997. in 1998 she left Bangladesh for Canada without informing anyone. Apparently she has decided to stay there permanently.

Today's hottest heroine Shabnur's first co-star actor Sabbir left the film career in 1998.

Kobita also left the film industry in 1998. She had only 3 movies done.

Sonia left after doing 3 films.

Alomgir is also going to get lost. His marriage allegations with Runa Lila has put his film career in danger. Film directors are showing in him no interest.
