Foreign film stars are basically Indian film stars.

In 1998 many Indian film stars from Mumbai (Bombay) and Calcutta came to Dhaka to work in Dhakai films.

Even there was a rumor that Ritu Porna was going to stay in Bangladesh permanently for working in Dhakai films.

Indian film celebrities who worked in Dhakai films are: Jaya Pradha and Ashrani (Ami sei mai), Momota Kul karni (Sesh Banghsodohr), Aisha Julekha (Asha amar Asha), Linom (Phul aur Kata), Ravina Tendon (Praner chaye preio).

From Calcutta Victor Benarjee came to work in Moner moto mon, Satabdi for Raza Rani Badsha, Ranjeet Mollik worked in Avishek, Prosenjeet in Ami sei mai., Sreelekha Mitro in Sinho Purosh.
